So finally my site is complete.
I bought a wordpress package from GoDaddy that included domain and hosting. It looks at first glance like a good system if you have no coding experience but I actualy found it quite restrictive and even though I’m using a template and only managed to get the layout looking like I wanted with a fair bit of editing of the template code.
So why am I bothering with a blog? The answer is I’m not sure yet. Probably the best answer is one part for the experience, one part for the ability to combine all my social media links and one part to take note of my thoughts and comments on the things I’m interested in. I’m not going to stick in adverts because I’m not expecting much traffic but I do hope to be able to engage with people through the blog interface so I’d welcome your comments.
The categories I’ve started out with are Biz Start-Up, Politechs, Social Media and Everything Else. I may add more as I go along but these are the areas that appeal to me at this point in time.
